Art is not just about beauty; it is also an incredible means of expressing emotions and thoughts.

Gizem Aytaç lives in the city of Elazığ, Turkey, and is a computer engineer. She became publicly recognized for her artistic skills. On the news portal “THE ASHGABAT TIMES,” she shares her journey into the world of art:
*”My passion for art has been with me since childhood. I remember my father sketching something on paper, beautifully illustrating characters from his favorite films. As he drew, I would carefully observe his hand and pencil, studying every movement. However, my father was not a professional artist—he had a busy work life. I was also a dedicated student, and I often didn’t have time for drawing due to my studies.
I never formally studied art. However, during the pandemic, I took a short break from work and delved deeper into creativity. That period turned out to be inspiring. A company specializing in carpets reached out to me with a request. At first, I was very anxious about whether I could complete the project. Honestly, I thought I would fail and ruin the carpet. But after studying the works of other artists who create similar pieces, I gained confidence.
I don’t select a specific carpet texture or pattern for my paintings. The most important factor for me is color harmony. That’s why I approach each project with great precision and pay special attention to personal commissions.
Bringing art to people, touching hearts in distant and small towns, is immensely fulfilling. However, it is also crucial to understand how art is perceived on social media. I strive to showcase my work naturally and sincerely, prioritizing artistry over commercial concerns.
Creating portraits of renowned figures and beloved artists on carpets gives me a unique sense of joy. Through my art, I seek to convey emotions and distinctive beauty, inspiring others.”*
