Turkmenistan and Turkmen Communications launch electronic data exchange system in Turkmenistan

On 2 May 2024, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Agency “Turkmenaragatnashyk” [Turkmen communications] of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan organized an online kick-off of the implementation of the electronic data exchange system in Turkmenistan within the framework of the joint project “Assistance in the development of a pilot electronic data interchange system in Turkmenistan”.

Nortal AS, a global leading digital transformation company with successful working experience and strong professional global partnership network, was selected to deploy a pilot system of electronic data exchange system in Turkmenistan based on the X-Road platform.

The project ““Assistance in the development of a pilot electronic data interchange system in Turkmenistan” was launched in March 2023 and will become the backbone for all future interagency data communication will continue the efforts of UNDP to accelerate digital transformation in Turkmenistan under the Memorandum of Understanding with “Turkmenaragatnashyk” Agency signed in March 2022 aiming to strengthen the country’s digital transformation.
