Citizens of Turkmenistan with a visa for staying in Russia or Belarus will be able to cross the border of these two countries through officially established checkpoints.
As of January 11, 2025, the agreement between Russia and Belarus on mutual recognition of visas, signed in June 2020, came into force. The agreement allows foreign citizens who have obtained a visa from one of the aforementioned countries to freely cross the border between them without the need for an additional visa. In addition to international airports and railway stations, special automobile routes have also been designated.
However, each party reserves the right to refuse entry or shorten the stay of any foreign citizen or stateless person on its territory, and to check their compliance with the rules of entry, exit, transit, or stay.
